Repository readme / adapted

AssetTrack

SOURCEREADME.mdAdapted for portfolio readability; claims remain source-derived.

> A native, mobile-friendly asset register proof for equipment, vehicles, documents, and IT assets with assignment, service, retirement, audit, reporting, and safe export boundaries.

**Status:** native-validated public release ( 1.0.0) **Portfolio lane:** Business systems **Stack:** .NET 8 / ASP.NET Core / C# 12 **Evidence:** two native screenshot groups, eight native captures

01

Purpose

Show practical asset lifecycle control without expanding into procurement, accounting, or live telemetry.

02

What it proves

  • unique asset-id and tag validation;
  • asset assignment and location history;
  • service scheduling and maintenance-risk evaluation;
  • condition recording and retirement without history deletion;
  • native audit events and runtime reporting;
  • export views that exclude private operational notes;
  • deterministic tests and native API smoke validation;
  • cross-platform Ubuntu CI;
  • public-safe synthetic evidence.
03

Run locally

`powershell dotnet run --project .\src\AssetTrack.Web\AssetTrack.Web.csproj `

04

Verify

`powershell .\tools\verify-release.ps1 `

05

Evidence groups

The eight screenshots under docs/screenshot-groups were captured from the running native ASP.NET Core application during v1.0.0 manual review.

  • **SG01 - Asset Register, Assignment, and Service Workflow**
  • **SG02 - Maintenance Risk, Audit, and Export Evidence**
06

Data boundary

All assets, people, serial references, locations, maintenance records, warranty dates, and notes are fictional. Export views intentionally exclude private operational notes.

07

Out of scope

  • no live telemetry or hardware control;
  • no procurement or accounting integration;
  • no production authentication or persistent database;
  • no real serial numbers, people, locations, or client data.
08

Public visibility does not grant a blanket open-source licence. See RIGHTS_AND_LICENSING.md.
